| VIEW: you shouldn't get close to anyone. eventually either they (or you) will die/leave, and you'll be miserable.
TRUTH: if you don't get close, you'll never know what you missed. you'll never have memories. when we die, we leave with nothing. we leave behind only the legacy of the smiles we brought about. fame will be forgotten. money will not accompany us. family, friends, loved ones.. they may stay behind for some time. but if we prevent ourselves from loving, from holding on, from living life the way it was meant to be lived... we'll never have lived at all.. and we miss out. but regretting words never spoken is useless too -- they knew. and if they didn't, they know now.. |
